Our consulting activities include mine water characterization, passive treatment design, and cost estimate development.

Our services ranges from quick assessments of AMD problems to full project design, permitting, installation and project management. We commonly provide mine drainage expertise to law firms, large engineering firms and bonding companies.

Most of our projects are in the coal fields of the Eastern US. Hedin Environmental has become involved with passive treatment projects at hard rock and metal mine sites in the Western US and countries such as Canada, Brazil, South Africa, Laos, Vietnam, and Madagascar.
