Neil Wolfe
Senior Geoscientist & Co-Owner
Neil has worked with Hedin Environmental since 2006 and co-owns Hedin Environmental as of 2023. Neil has a BS in Geology and specializes in watershed assessments, treatment system design, construction oversight, treatment system operation and maintenance, treatment system rehabilitation, research and development, and project management. Neil implements passive treatment solutions for hard rock mining clients.
Ben Hedin
Environmental Scientist & Co-Owner
Ben has worked with Hedin Environmental since 2012 and co-owns Hedin Environmental as of 2023. Ben has a PhD in Geology and Environmental Science and his dissertation was on critical minerals in AMD. He specializes in watershed assessments, treatment system design, research and development, and project management.
Bob Hedin
Senior Project Manager & Founder
Bob founded Hedin Environmental in 1994 after working with the U.S. Bureau of Mines for 6 years. Bob has a PhD in Ecology and his dissertation was on revegetation of mine sites. Bob specializes in treatment systems design, treatment system rehabilitation, research and development, and project management. Bob authored or coauthored much of the founding research on the passive treatment of mine waters.
Geoge Watzlaf
Senior Environmental Engineer, P.E.
George has worked with Hedin Environmental since 2007 after working with the U.S. Bureau of Mines and Department of Energy for 25 years. He has a M.S. in Environmental Engineering and is a Professional Engineer. George specializes in treatment system design, construction oversight, and treatment system rehabilitation. George authored or coauthored much of the founding research on the passive treatment of mine waters.
Ted Weaver
Senior Geologist
Ted has worked with Hedin Environmental since 1997 after working in the mine water treatment field for 15 years. Ted has a M.S. in Geology and specializes in treatment system design, construction oversight, treatment system operation and maintenance, treatment system rehabilitation, and project management.
Michael Fritz
Environmental Scientist
Michael has worked with Hedin Environmental since 2022 and has been working in environmental consulting since 2012. He has a B.S in Geology and specializes in treatment system design, permitting, and construction oversight.
Olivia Weaver
Geologist, GIT
Olivia has worked with Hedin Environmental since 2023. Olivia has a BS in Geology and is a Geologist in Training. Olivia specializes in watershed assessments and research and development.
Naomi Anderson
Environmental Engineer, EIT
Naomi worked with with Hedin Environmental from 2017 to 2020 and returned to work with us in 2024. Naomi has a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and M.S. in Forest Resources. Naomi specializes in watershed assessments and treatment system design.
Kelly Long
Office Manager
Kelly has worked with Hedin Environmental since 1995. Kelly ensures Hedin Environmental runs smoothly and is responsible for administration.
